Scott Tranchemontagne, President
Scott is responsible for the development and execution of strategic communications programs, including public relations plans, integrated marketing and advertising programs, public affairs/issue advocacy efforts, and political campaigns. Throughout his 15-year career in public relations and advertising, Scott has served clients including National Grid/Granite State Electric Company, Citizens Bank, The Community Bankers Association of NH, The NH Lottery, The NH Division of Travel and Tourism Development, Plymouth State University, Chelsea Premium Outlets, Waste Management, FairPoint Communications, Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Cabela’s, and AES Energy.
Scott specializes in helping clients strategically communicate with key stakeholders and decision makers. In one of his higher profile assignments, he developed and coordinated the media relations campaign for the landmark Shirley Barron vs. IRS case – a lawsuit which has been recognized for changing the way the IRS deals with taxpayers and increasing taxpayer rights and protections. He has become an expert in assisting large, controversial, development projects communicate effectively with the communities in which they are proposed. Projects that Scott has helped win approval include; The Verizon Wireless Arena, AES Granite Ridge power plant, Merrimack Premium Outlets mall, Cabela’s retail store, Club Motorsports racetrack, and the Portwalk mixed use development in Portsmouth.
Prior to beginning his public relations career in 1994, Scott served as a news reporter, talk show host, and morning-drive anchor for WGIR Radio, New Hampshire’s largest and most-listened-to news and talk station. He began his broadcasting career in 1988 and has worked for several radio and television stations in New Hampshire and Boston, MA. Born and raised in Nashua, NH, Scott currently resides in Bedford, NH with his wife and two children.

Kim Moore, Senior Vice President, Public Relations
Kim Moore is an accomplished public relations professional who has been providing public relations and communications service to a diverse client base throughout New England for the past 24 years. Her current clients include Citizens Bank New Hampshire, Waste Management, and the New Hampshire chapter of the American Institute of Architects. From 1993 – 2006, she was employed by Griffin Bodi & Krause, most recently as Vice President, Public Relations. During the course of her 13 years with the agency, she executed numerous media relations and community relations programs for a variety of consumer client accounts including Citizens Bank New Hampshire, the New Hampshire Lottery, the New Hampshire Liquor Commission, Irving Oil, and the Oil Heat Council of New Hampshire, among others.
Prior to her move to New Hampshire, she spent the earlier part of her career working for public relations agencies in New York City, and Stamford, Connecticut, where she specialized in representing real estate developers, and architectural design firms throughout the New York-metropolitan area, as well as pharmaceutical companies, public utilities and environmental organizations. She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from the University of Rhode Island.

E.J. Powers, Vice President, Strategic Communications
E.J. Powers is Montagne Communications’ Vice President of Strategic
Communications. He has successfully developed and executed strategic
communications campaigns utilizing all forms of media for telecom,
energy, health care, retail, tourism, real estate, government and food and beverage clients.
His experience includes work with FairPoint Communications, Irving Oil,
Override, The New Hampshire Division of Travel and Tourism, New
Hampshire Liquor Commission, Cabela’s, Chelsea Property Group, Laconia
Harley-Davidson, Z food & drink, Ken’s Foods, Catholic Medical
Center, Centex Destination Properties, the New Hampshire Lottery and the
City of Claremont’s Economic Development Office.
E.J. directs the development and implementation of all social media
strategies for Montagne’s clients. He works to help businesses and
organizations understand this new medium and integrate elements into
their communications and marketing mix.
He also works with the firms’ real estate development clients as they
navigate the regulatory waters, helping them strategically communicate
with key stakeholders and decision makers throughout permitting and
construction. He has successfully worked on behalf of several major
developers throughout the northeast. Additionally, E.J. works with
corporate clients and interest groups who seek the firms’ public affairs
and issue advocacy expertise.
E.J. is actively involved in his community. He serves as a member of the
Saint Anselm College Alumni Council; is a board member of Share or
Strength’s Taste of the Nation event in Manchester, NH; chairs the
Manchester Young Professionals Network and was a member 2008 class of
Leadership Greater Manchester. He was a recipient 2010 New Hampshire
Union Leader Forty Under 40 Award and received the Robert B. Jolicoeur
School 2010 Community Service Award for his work on behalf of Easter
Seals NH.

Debra Daigle, Media Relations Specialist
Debra Daigle, former news director of WZID-FM Radio in Manchester, is Montagne Communications’ media relations specialist. Daigle has been an award-winning radio and television news broadcaster for nearly 25 years; she has worked in numerous markets, including Manchester, NH, Boston, MA and Washington DC. Debra was part of the WRKO Talk Station’s news team in the mid 1980s, when the station was number one in the Boston market. She was the national recipient of UPI’s 1987 Best Reporting/Individual Achievement Award, for her work on everything from spot and breaking news, to a special series marking the 25th anniversary of the death of President John F. Kennedy.
Debra worked for the former RKO Radio Network (Unistar) in Washington, DC from 1990-92, as a national correspondent, covering Capitol Hill, The White House and Supreme Court. From 1992 to the present, she was employed with various Massachusetts and New Hampshire media outlets, including WGIR-AM and FM in Manchester, WGMC-TV3 in Worcester, Massachusetts and WZID/WFEA in Manchester. As news director/afternoon-drive anchor of WZID, Daigle received the 2004 First Place AP Award for Best Newscast.
Debra graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut, with the honor of Distinction in Major Field; she went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Mass Communications from Emerson College in Boston, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Becky Brown, Public Relations Account Coordinator
Becky Brown, former assistant
editor at Simmons College in Boston, is Montagne Communications public
relations account coordinator. Becky is responsible for supporting the account
team with client services, including community relations, media outreach,
special event planning, web and database management, research and writing.
Prior to joining Montagne,
Becky spent two years in the Marketing Department at Simmons College managing
college publications including the quarterly alumni magazine and the internal
employee newsletter. She assisted with media outreach and worked to implement
the Colleges media analysis tracking system.
She graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors degree in journalism and public
relations from Simmons College. She received the 2008 Madfis Award given by the
Simmons College Communications Department in recognition of the creativity of a
junior student; served as vice president of the National Communications Honor
Society Lambda Pi Eta from 2008 to 2009; received the 2009 PR/Marketing Award
given by the Communications Department to an outstanding senior student; and
received the 2010 Marketing Department Award.
