Laconia Harley Davidson
Few people know the Harley-Davidson brand like Anne & Steve Deli. Anne grew up next to the Harley family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and was the first female vice-president in Harley-Davidson history. Her husband Steve, was part of the investment team that saved the company from bankruptcy in the 1980’s, took the company public and launched what is now Harley-Davidson Financial Services.
Their current company, American Road Biz, owns Harley-Davidson dealerships and retail locations throughout the country. But when they purchased the Meredith and White Mountain Harley-Davidson dealerships in 2008, both businesses were in financial distress. Anne and Steve wasted no time. They reorganized the company, renovated the dealerships, and rebranded the Meredith shop to take advantage of the Laconia Motorcycle Rally, America’s Original Motorcycle Week. New for the 2017 Bike Week, Laconia Harley-Davidson is opening a special venue at Weirs Beach—in the heart of all the action—for the duration of Laconia Motorcycle Week.
When they needed a public relations firm to help tell their story, support sales and promote the positive aspects of Motorcycle Week, they turned to Montagne Communications. Montagne led the effort to position Bike Week as the “Riding Rally,” capitalizing on New Hampshire’s natural beauty and its nationally-ranked roadways for motorcycle riding. We forged partnerships with state government, business organizations and local charities. The result has been 8 straight years of significant media coverage on the positive aspects of Bike Week and the impact Laconia Harley-Davidson has on the community.
